Administrator
Kim Heard
Kim began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant after graduating high school. Throughout the years, Kim has worked in various healthcare roles that include activities, admissions, marketing, regional marketing, and as a medication technician. Kim completed her studies by participating in an Administrator in Training Program while attending Phoenix University to obtain her Administrator’s license. Kim is passionate about building strong relationships with all staff and strives to find a meaningful connection with each of her residents. Kim is loyal to her friends and family and looks forward to assisting her team in the daily devotion needed in caring for our seniors. Her love for helping people allows to her to help whenever she can both through work and the community. She brings excellent communication and interpersonal skills to her team and remains grateful for her willingness to remain in the healthcare setting. Her dedication to her work and enthusiasm continue to assist the team in meeting the desired goals. In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time singing with her dad, shopping with her mom, playing cards, and resides in Kearney, MO.
Director of Marketing
Laura Mullennix
Laura is the Director of Marketing and has worked in the Senior Care for the last ten years. While she has a wide breadth of sales and marketing experience, she loves working with seniors and their families. In her role at The Grand Royale, Laura loves to market the community with other healthcare professionals, events inside and outside the community, potential residents, and families. When Laura isn’t working, she loves traveling and spending time with her husband, kids, and her dog (and new grand puppy)!
Director of Nursing
Angie Mullin
Angie has been a RN since 1996. She started her career in the hospital setting working in various departments to include Ortho/GI/Pain Management/Oncology/and Urology. She also worked as a surgical nurse for 8 years. She has been married for 39 years. She has 2 wonderful children along with 5 grandchildren. She quotes: “It has been a joy to be employed the past 2 months at the Grand Royale. Coworkers have been friendly and welcoming, and I look forward many years with the company.
Director of Admissions
Becky Adrian
Becky Adrian is the Director of Admissions at The Grand Royale, and she brings with her over 20 years of experience working in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Becky has a background in Social Work and received her degree from The University of Kansas in 2000 – Rock Chalk Jayhawk!! The Marketing and Admissions Department is responsible for coordinating move-ins, performing assessments, and providing tours and information to prospective residents. Stop in to say hello to Becky in the Admissions and Marketing Office near the front door.
Culinary Director
Tracey Mayberry
Tracey Mayberry is our Culinary Director. She brings 29 years of healthcare experience to our team that includes dining services in skilled nursing facilities as well as assisted living and memory support facilities. Tracey enjoys preparing food and nutrition to enrich the lives of those she serves.
Director of Social Services
Kristen Thomas
Kristen resides in Excelsior Springs with her husband Charlie and enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and especially her 2 grandchildren – Blake and Sophia. Her background includes Sales, Marketing and Admissions, but Social Services owns her heart.
Concierge
Nikki Goode
Nikki Goode is our concierge at the Grand Royale. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. She enjoys meeting and getting to know guest’s and all their families. Nikki’s background includes activities and assists in events and various tasks as needed. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.
Central Supply and Medical Records
Marla Phipps
Marla Phipps has worked in Senior Living since 1990. Her role is Central Supply and Medical Records. She is also our Lead CNA. You can usually find her running around the halls delivering supplies to our guests and answering call lights. She has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. They are her greatest blessings, and she thanks God for them every day. She is a hard worker and loves her “family” at The Grand Royale.
Director of Plant Operations
Aaron
Aaron is our director of plant operations. He has served in the United States Army for the last 15 years. He comes from a very extensive mechanical background. When he’s not taking care of every one of our guests needs, he is enjoying every moment he can with his 2-year-old daughter.
Infection Preventionist/Wound Care Nurse
Tammy Thomas
Tammy Thomas is the Infection Preventionist/Wound Care nurse at The Grand Royale. She has been a nurse since 1992 and wound care is her passion. She has 3 children that keep her busy running from sporting events to gymnastics events. She loves working at here and treasures the relationships she has built with her co-workers and our guests.
Business Office Manager
Alecia Gantt
Alecia Gantt is our Business Office Manager. She comes with 15 years of experience in office management, and Healthcare billing. She maintains accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly billing and collections. Alecia comes from a family with 30+ years in healthcare. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping and watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies
Human Resource Coordinator
Tyesha Smith
Tyesha Smith is the Human Resource Coordinator here at The Grand Royale. Tyesha is a strong believer in using interpersonal skills in the workplace and creating a positive work environment. Tyesha is currently working towards earning her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. When not working or at school, Tyesha enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
